ASP.NET Ajax, Update Panels and Response.Redirect

August 17, 2007

If your Response.Redirect doesn’t work under UpdatePanel’s callback, then you definitely missing ScriptModule in the web.config:

<httpModules>

  <add name="ScriptModule" type="System.Web.Handlers.ScriptModule, System.Web.Extensions, Version=1.0.61025.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35"/>

</httpModules>

And now it works like a charm :)

    Great work. If you have an IIS6 system.web section and an IIS7 system.webServer section, make sure it goes in both!
