ASP.NET Ajax, Update Panels and Response.Redirect

August 17, 2007 at 1:33 pm 35 comments

If your Response.Redirect doesn’t work under UpdatePanel’s callback, then you definitely missing ScriptModule in the web.config:

<httpModules>

  <add name="ScriptModule" type="System.Web.Handlers.ScriptModule, System.Web.Extensions, Version=1.0.61025.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35"/>

</httpModules>

And now it works like a charm 🙂

    Thanks! I wasted about a week using the horrible ScriptManager hackish way of doing this. This worked like a charm.

    Great work. If you have an IIS6 system.web section and an IIS7 system.webServer section, make sure it goes in both!

    This may work sometimes but is not the correct way to fix it. See here->

    Not to hijack this thread, but I’m looking for the best classic curtains gallery and I can’t figure out how to find them… do you know anything about this curtains store? They’re office is in Paramus, 20 min from my office, but I haven’t been able to find reviews on them. — Marburn Curtains, 443 New Jersey 17, Paramus,NJ 07652, (201)265-4232

    Ya nos dimos cuenta de que este artículo muestra tu opinión muy individual y solo eso.

    Lo cierto es no cuenta conun planteamiento original y se siente medio armado al azar.
